Ocado are proud to be one of 90 members of The UK Plastic Pact, an initiative set up by The Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP). The Pact is helping us change the way we take, make, use and dispose of plastic packaging – keeping it in circulation and out of the natural environment. 

Since launching, the Pact has focused on working with retailers and brands that place significant quantities of plastic in the UK market. In order to meet their ambitious targets and deliver radical change, the Pact now needs to develop a way to engage many more businesses and encourage them to work towards the circular economy that we are striving for.

They have just launched their Associate Membership platform, which is designed to support and guide businesses like yours, with a smaller plastic packaging portfolio, to reach their targets. 

Associate Membership is open to any small business who produces, processes or places plastic packaging on the UK market. As a member, the Pact will help you identify challenges within your business; give you access to webinars and Pact reports that provide solutions and tips for a sustainable plastics strategy; and the opportunity to ask questions to the Pact’s technical specialists. 

As Ocado’s plastic strategy is aligned to The UK Plastic Pact, becoming a member could help you identify challenges and find solutions to plastic problems, so that the products we sell are designed with the Pact targets in mind.
